MMA welding machine is the oldest and still the most commonly arc welding process,although the proportion of MMA use is decreasing as gas-shielded welding processes are becoming more popular,and MMA wleding (metal arc)does not require shielding gas,protection for weld pool comes form the electrode cober wheich melts during welding,and forms a protective laer of slag on the weld pool,when the welding is completed and the layer of slag is removed,the finished weld will be discovered underneath.
